Bampton Gallery: Location

You can reach the north and south Devon coasts in about 40 minutes, but Exmoor, the Brendon Hills, and the Somerset Levels are nearer. National Trust houses and gardens are open at Knightshayes, Killerton and Arlington. (Other non NT 'musts' are Bicton Park, Cothay Manor and RHS Rosemoor). Bampton Down has one of the largest herds of wild red deer, and the Exmoor heathland has many rare birds – just ask what and where, and and enjoy a woodland or river walk almost anywhere.
